Bethlehem cannot claim to be doing Youth Ministry, until the youth themselves are the ones doing ministry! Peer Ministry Training equips youth to do just that! PM is a model of living that calls students to share their faith with friends and other young people through caring conversations, active listening and role modeling.
PM is also about discovering their unique gifts and finding specific ways to use those gifts in the church and beyond. Finally, PM is the initial leadership course required of students who wish to serve as leaders in Bethlehem’s Student Ministries (i.e. Confirmation YAMs – Young Adult Mentors, 456 Lock In Counselors, Mission Trip and Retreat Small Group Peer Leaders).
Peer Ministry Training for 9th Graders begins with anOvernight over MEA Break, Wednesday, October 19, 8pm - October 20, 10am. Then on Wednesday, October 26, we kick off our weekly group at 6:30-7:45pm in the Viking Room.
