Rake, Rattle, and Roll

Rake, Rattle, and Roll on November 12, 9:30-Noon

The HandyWorks fall Rake, Rattle, and Roll, a program of the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches, takes place this year beginning very late October through early November with weather permitting. This year congregation member and GMCC Board member Simon Foster is organizing a Bethlehem volunteer group to do a little rake, rattle and rolling to bag leaves and rake lawns for at least three seniors in the Phillips neighborhood. This is important work since this helps them get ready for winter and to be able to stay in their homes.

We will rake leaves for a couple of hours and then grab a bite to eat and socialize a little afterwards at Maria's Cafe at 1113 East Franklin Ave. All this will take place Saturday morning November 12, 9:30-Noon, followed by lunch. All you need to bring is your own rake and gloves. The homes will supply the bags, though it is good to bring extra bags for the occasional homeowner who is homebound and unable to get their own. Meet at Bethlehem at 9:30 am and we will divide up into work groups. Hope to see you then!
