Connect, relax and recharge with Connecting Point, a comfortable, short-term way to experience a slice of small group life. Develop friendships with others and explore the dynamics of community, your faith and your next steps. Here is a brief summary of what to expect:

• Connecting Point is a six-week experience with start and end dates. We have Connecting Point launch events three times a year, in the Fall, Winter and Spring. Upcoming launch dates are:
  • Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. We will be watching a DVD and discussing the book It All Goes Back in the Box by John Ortberg.
  • The week of January 11, 2009. We will be launching an all-church focus on the book God Is Closer Then You Think by John Ortberg. Watch for multiple group start dates.
  • Monday, April 20, 2009, at 7:00 p.m.

• At a Connecting Point launch, groups are formed according to meeting nights or interests, and participants begin to share their stories and get acquainted.
• After the launch, groups meet four times on their own with their group facilitator. Groups have access to a variety of resources for reading, viewing and discussion.
• All groups come back together for a wrap-up event to celebrate their group experiences. Participants decide if they would like to continue meeting or if they are done. Groups that decide to continue set their own schedule and decide on their purpose/focus. The Connect Ministries team can recommend materials and resources to help groups continue to grow in faith.
