Even now, neighbors in our community are hungry. An unexpected job loss or medical issue can force a family into a tough situation, choosing between food, shelter or medicine.

Let’s give our neighbors a reason to be thankful this Thanksgiving!

So far this year we’ve given just over 1,0000 pounds of food through the Mpls campus food drives, which is fantastic – but a little behind last year. If we give 1,000 pounds this month, we’ll beat last year’s total and be doing even more to help our neighbors.

If just every other Bethlehem household donates, we’d beat our total easily – and think of all the well-fed families!

Please bring a nonperishable food item to the grocery cards in the Commons in Nov or to the Thanksgiving service, or donate with a check in the offering plate (please note “CES” in the memo line). Donations of cooking oil, 4 lbs bags of flour or sugar, beef stew, chili, canned meat or fruit are especially welcome. As is coffee (small bags, please).

Want to volunteer? Join Bethlehem members in distributing food at Community Emergency Services (CES), at 1900 11th Ave S, Mpls from 10a-12p on Sat, Nov 18. Contact Britta to sign up.
