A Time to Remember

In any progressive nation, citizens must acknowledge all of its past, whether positive or negative, in order to move forward toward the future. In the summer of 1931, our nation had emerged from the conflicts and challenges of World War I and was now gripped by the Great Depression. When an African-American veteran by the name of Arthur Lee returned from World War I and moved his family from St. Cloud to the 4600 block of Columbus Avenue in south Minneapolis, he and his family were not welcomed in the Field neighborhood.

Thanks to all who participated in the recent survey about your attitudes and habits related to the Bible. We had 342 responses, 77% of which were completed online! We'll let you know our findings later this summer when we've had a chance to review the results. Thanks also to the 21 people who participated in face-to-face interviews!

Each trip boards Thursday night, sleeps aboard and sails Friday through Sunday afternoon.
