Love that Origami!

This Sunday, January 6, you are all invited to make a dove through the Japanese art of paper folding called Origami. The dove has been an important symbol of God's Holy Spirit in our faith tradition. When Jesus was baptized a dove descended from the heavens proclaiming Jesus as God's Son. In our baptism God makes the same promise to us: we are children of God, blessed by his promise of forgiveness and everlasting life. Remember your baptism this year by making a dove, marking it with the date you were baptized and naming a gift with which God has blessed you. Then worship again at Bethlehem on Sunday, January 13 and expect to be awed by the beauty of what happens when we put these gifts together. There will be a table in the gallery staffed with people who are available to help you. Be a part of this exciting congregation-wide project. All ages are encouraged to participate!
