Take Home Point
God loves his son Jesus & God loves us too!
Today we...
- Saw the story of Jesus' baptism in a Godly Play style
- Pointed the "Jordan River" with frozen ice cube points
- Blew white dove feathers down to remind us of the Spirit of God descending at Jesus' baptism
- Jumped over the wiggly "Jordan River"
- Pretended to baptize babies in our own water play center
Talk About It
Today we heard and saw the story of Jesus' baptism through a storytelling method called Godly Play. You could repeat this at home using "little" people and a strip of blue material or paper.
Key Question
- How does God show his love for us?
Something fun to try!
This week during bathtime, review the story about Jesus' baptism. If you have a baby doll that can get wet, you can pretend to baptize the baby!
Do you have pictures of your child's baptismal day? Find the pictures to show your child. What about starting the tradition of celebrating their baptismal anniversary?
Memory Verse
"This is my Son, who I love." Mark1:11
