We believe that every person counts. God created us to live together and care for one another. Here is the chance for someone to see Jesus “with skin on”.
Volunteers at the Gathering spend time with individuals who are experiencing early-to-mid- stage memory loss in a group setting, providing respite to caregivers. Gathering takes place every 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month and involves activities and lunch.
Prepare and deliver a meal to a Bethlehem member in need.
Parish Visitors is a lay ministry of one-on-one caring. Individuals attend training and are assigned to a confidential relationship with a person going through a life transition or crisis.
The Knitting group meets the third Thursday of every month to make prayer shawls and hats. The prayer shawls are given to people in the congregation who are ill or suffering and the hats are given to LSS and other groups that need hats. No knitting experience needed, they are happy to teach.
This group makes simple quilts to support local needs or are sent to refugee organizations. Last season the group made more than 200 quilts. They meet September-May M-F on the 4th week of the month from 9-3:30. No quilting experience needed, they are happy to teach.
Meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 7:00pm to pray for people and concerns from the Bethlehem community.
