About This Event

Bethlehem’s 10th-graders formally reaffirm the promises made at their baptism. In preparation for the Affirmation of Baptism service (October 31), 10th graders are invited to be blessed at our Faith Walk service (October 27).

Event Information:

The public Affirmation of Baptism ceremony will be in the Minneapolis campus Sanctuary and will be livestreamed. We invite you to tune into the livestream and celebrate our 10th-grade students! Any questions please contact Ellen Weber or Pastor Heather. 

Affirmation of Baptism: Sunday, October 31
Please register all parties that will be joining.  Join us after the Affirmation of Baptism service for refreshments. 

Faith Walk: Wednesday, October 27
Faith Walk is where each 10th grader goes to six stations and gets their hands, feet, heart, eyes, ears and mouth blessed. Family/friends come and do the walk alongside the 10th graders as witnesses. It is a moment to reflect and prepare for the confirmation service the following Sunday.

“Different Lens” Special Speaker Felecia Boone

About once a month Spirit Garage hosts a guest speaker in worship who is a faith leader that is also a person of color and/or queer, who speaks on a text that resonates with them in perhaps a different way than what has been traditionally taught down through the years. This month Felecia Boone will be our speaker. Felecia is a senior Diversity, Equity and Inclusion consultant with Hennepin County. She was educated through the Lutheran school system and volunteers as the Vice President of the Minneapolis Area Synod of the ELCA. She has worked in local government at the state and county levels for more than 25 years.
