Learning Series: Bold Conversations
This fall Bethlehem will embark on a learning adventure together. The death of George Floyd was a moment that reignited a movement drawing attention to the ongoing reality of racial inequality. We have work to do and it can be difficult to know how and where to start. As a predominantly white congregation, we need to begin with listening, confessing, and learning about the collective sin of perpetuating systems that oppress others. This learning series seeks to create a safe space to explore and learn together. The virtual seminars will focus on the skills and awareness we need to be effective allies and culturally aware community members. They are designed for interactivity and experiential learning where you will be applying the learning in real-time.
Please register for each session on the web to receive a Zoom invite.

Special Speaker Series with Beth Zemsky
Post- Election Debrief - Making Sense and Making Peace: How our reactions impact diversity, equity, and inclusion
We won’t know the results of the election for some time but we can anticipate that there will be plenty to process regardless of the outcome. Beth Zemsky, local community organizer, educator, organizational leader, and psychotherapist will share insights on critical social issues and movements such as racial justice, the elections, and how our individual and collective responses contribute to our ability to promote and achieve our diversity, inclusion and equity goals.
