Families Moving Forward Support

Event Information:

For families experiencing homelessness, the Families Moving Forward (FMF) program offers emergency shelter and a path to more stable housing. Beacon is continuing to host families in hotels rather than in church buildings this year. The Bethlehem community will be providing meals and summer activity supplies for the families, such as bathing suits and beach towels, kids’ fishing poles, outdoor games, art supplies, etc. For safety reasons, Beacon has asked for meals prepared by restaurants or grocery stores rather than individuals. Because of this, we are asking for your financial support of Families Moving Forward throughout July.

If you would like to donate to help cover the cost of food and summer activity supplies, please select “Families Moving Forward” on Realm or include it in the memo line on your check.

Needed Summer Activity Supplies - If you would like to shop and drop off supplies at church by July 21, there’s a collection bin near the church office.

• Bathing suits for adults and kids in a variety of sizes (they have access to the Chaska Community Center)
• Beach towels
• Water balloons
• Sprinkler
• Outdoor water games
• Rock painting kit
• Sidewalk chalk
• Art supplies
• Kids’ fishing pole
• Air pump for refilling balls (no balls needed at this time)
• Books
