Pastor Meta is hosting three films at the Minnetonka campus this summer. The evening includes dinner (Pizza/Pasta) and conversation around the films chosen for their timely, complex topics.
Wednesday, June 13th – “When Faith Changes Everything”
“Come Sunday” is based on the true story about renowned fundamentalist preacher Carlton Pearson on a new spiritual path that jeopardizes everything he holds dear.
Wednesday, July 25th – “Raising Healthy Men”
“The Mask You Live In” is a documentary that takes on the limited and toxic definitions of masculinity in America. How do we raise young people to have a more holistic sense of self and strength?
Wednesday, August 15th – “It’s All About Location”
“Race – The Power of Illusion” is a three-episode series from PBS about the history of race in America. We’ll watch Episode 3 – The House We Live In, which details the politics, economics, and culture of race related to housing. It’s an in-depth look at the ways our social institutions have long channeled resources and power to white people.
Dinner and the film begin at 6:00 pm. The cost is $5 per person. Register using the link below, at Minnetonka, or call the church office at 952.935.3419.
