“I lift my eyes up, up to the mountains. Where does my help come from?”

Well, we may not have mountains, but God, “maker of heaven, creator of the earth,” always seems to show up in a special way at our annual Giant’s Ridge ski trip. During the bus ride up, that first moment of hearing your skis swish on the snow, making and eating meals together, the first sip of warm cocoa in the chalet, God is everywhere, in it all. Join us for skiing bliss. Let’s celebrate the cold and each other in style.

The Giant’s Ridge Ski Retreat is a two night overnight Saturday-Monday Feb. 16th-18th. This trip is for all 7th-12th graders who enjoy hitting the slopes, hanging out in the lodge or just spending some time in beautiful northern Minnesota! We will meet at Bethlehem at 3:00 pm on Saturday, Feb. 16th and bus up to Biwabik, MN and make it up there in time for a pizza dinner and some games! The next two days will be spent at Giant’s Ridge Ski Hill, hitting the slopes during the day and playing games and being in fellowship in the evening. We stay at the Biwabik community center (on the floor) and cook our own breakfasts and dinners which honestly is one of the best things about this trip!

Cost: $225, which covers lodging, transportation, lift passes, breakfasts, and dinners. If your student is renting equipment, the cost for this trip is $260 and the rentals will be included in the fee (either skis or snowboard; includes boots and poles). Helmets need to be rented by the student individually and are $8 per day. Students should bring money for two lunches at the lodge and a dinner on the road (three meals in total).
