We’ll be starting a new worship schedule this Sunday at the Minneapolis campus. We want to make sure you’re aware of the change and why. Services will be at 8:30AM, 10AM and 7PM every Sunday through September 1. We’re trying this new schedule for 3 reasons:
- Offering 2 morning services creates opportunity for people to make deeper connections between services. Introduce yourself to someone you don’t know and engage in conversation over a cup of coffee. Who knows what kind of connections you may already share!
- For years we’ve been trying to find ways to offer intentional learning experiences for children on Sunday mornings. We’ve learned a lot from the ECHO Sunday school format at Minnetonka this past year (children come up for Storytime, then move to a space for interactive learning with the Bible story and return to the sanctuary during the offering). Changing the worship schedule provides space and time to try it at the Minneapolis campus this summer. We’re excited to see how families respond to this new learning opportunity.
- Summer is a season in which we see an increase in guests looking for a church home. An 8:30 and 10:00 service provides 2 optimal service times for people who are curious about Bethlehem.
As summer approaches we’re grateful for how the season provides an opportunity to try different rhythms for our worship life together. Thanks for your commitment to this community and for giving this new schedule a try.
See you in church!
