Bethlehem’s Alternative Gift Fair offers meaningful ways to honor friends, family, teachers, and more. Each item supports our local and global outreach partners—organizations doing transformative work in our community and around the world. With every purchase, you’ll receive a gift card that describes the organization and how your gift makes a difference.

Make your purchases in person at both campuses following worship on December 7 and 14. Online sales will be available December 1 – 17.

BEACON – Cookware Essentials

Prairie Pointe, a new Beacon Interfaith housing community in Shakopee, will soon welcome 42 families home, including 28 who have recently experienced homelessness. To help them settle in with comfort and dignity, we’re collecting cookware essentials to equip their new kitchens. Your support will help families restore routines, share meals, and feel truly at home from day one.

BEACON – Baby Essentials

Prairie Pointe, a new Beacon Interfaith housing community in Shakopee, will soon welcome 42 families home—including many with young children who have recently experienced homelessness. Help support families with little ones by sponsoring baby essentials like diapers and wipes. When parents have the essentials for their children, they can more fully focus on rebuilding their lives and settling into their new home.

BRIGHT STARS – Tuition Support In Gaza/Bethlehem

Bright Stars of Bethlehem is a U.S.–based nonprofit supporting Dar al-Kalima University—the only university focused on arts, culture, and design in Palestine. For over 20 years, Bright Stars has provided hope through scholarships and programming that strengthen students, their families, and their communities. In the wake of the Gaza War and escalating violence in the West Bank, the need for tuition assistance has grown significantly. DOS- Rise And Shine Items For Newborn/Hospice Kits

Your gift will help provide essential items for the Newborn and Hospice Kits that will be assembled at Bethlehem’s Day of Service in February. These kits serve as a meaningful way to make a positive impact in the world. Once completed, they will be sent overseas to Global Health Ministries‘ partner organizations in Africa, Asia and South America.

GHM – Medical Equipment / Supplies Shipping

Help Global Health Ministries (GHM) ship vital medical equipment and supplies to under-resourced countries overseas. GHM’s supply chain supports Lutheran mission hospitals and clinics serving some of the world’s most vulnerable people—equipping medical staff to provide life-saving care. Donated supplies and overstock from the U.S. meet immediate needs, while donated equipment, such as x-ray or anesthesia machines, expand services and can even help facilities qualify for additional government support. HMCHA -Lamb For Family In Ethiopia

Provide a lamb to a struggling family in Ethiopia and help empower a female-led household with a sustainable source of income. As the flock grows, a sheep can be sold during festive holidays like Christmas or Easter, strengthening financial stability. Working about 35 miles from Addis Ababa, HMCHA helps children attend school and families move out of poverty. Your gift supports better nutrition, improved health, and a more hopeful future.

HMCHA – Small Business Training for Women

In Ethiopia, extreme poverty impacts a majority of families. When a woman loses her husband, financial instability can threaten her children’s future. HMCHA equips women to launch income-generating activities—such as selling vegetables, clothing, or coffee—so they can earn money and build savings. After training, each woman receives a small grant to purchase supplies and begin her business. Your support provides stability and hope, empowering families to increase their income and shape a better future through their own efforts.

ICA – Fresh Produce For Foodshelf

ICA provides nutritious food to local households through a choice-model food shelf, home deliveries, mobile sites, fresh produce pop-ups, and school-based markets. Each year, ICA distributes the equivalent of more than one million meals—feeding over 2,000 neighbors every month in Minnetonka and surrounding communities. This work is made possible by generous donations from individuals, businesses, grocers, and gardeners who share food with their neighbors in need.

LPGM – One Month Of School For Girl In Guatemala

Lutheran Partners in Global Ministry (LPGM) is honored to partner with CCFC in expanding educational access for girls and young women on the margins in Guatemala’s Central Highlands. There, 75% of girls typically drop out of school after sixth grade. Scholarships and the Women in Agroecology Leadership for Conservation (WALC) program are changing that—equipping students to grow native crops, set personal goals, and care for the cloud forest. Their leadership strengthens household food security, benefits entire villages, and supports regional reforestation. Together, we are helping girls stay in school and shaping a more hopeful future for their communities.

LPGM – Mattress/Blanket For Girls In Tanzania

Lutheran Partners in Global Ministry (LPGM) works with local partners in Tanzania to protect adolescent girls who are at risk of early marriage or domestic abuse. In Maasai communities, many girls flee forced childhood marriages and gender-based violence, often with nowhere safe to go. The need for secure housing has only grown since the pandemic. LPGM’s partners provide safe homes, education, and supportive community rooted in Christian care—helping girls imagine and build a different future. Our Saviour’s Housing Shelter in Minneapolis provides safe overnight accommodations for 21 adults experiencing homelessness. You can help offer nourishment, dignity, and care by sponsoring a meal for shelter guests. With the support of volunteer dinner groups and generous sponsors, Our Saviour’s provides meals every day of the year—365 days strong.
