Take Time for Mental Health: How to Choose a Therapist

October 21 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Finding the right therapist can make all the difference—but not every therapist will be the right fit for you. Join moderator Cara Carlson, MSW, and a panel of experienced therapists as they share insights on what to look for and the questions you should ask before committing to therapy.
You’ll learn how different therapeutic styles work, discover how to identify the approach that best matches your personality and needs, and leave feeling more confident about your next steps in seeking support.
This is a valuable opportunity to gain honest, practical advice directly from professionals in the field—don’t miss it!
This is part of a monthly series of mental health education in partnership with Bethlehem Lutheran Church Twin Cities and St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (SJA). This year the theme is Building Hope and Healing in Uncertain Times. The series begins in September 2025 and ends in May 2026. The meetings are the third Tuesday of each month, and meetings alternate between Bethlehem and SJA. The events are free with a light supper provided and are open to all – we ask to register in advance so we can plan for food and materials.
Registration Deadline: October 17
