Many faith communities take time to bless pets and animals in early October. Worship at the Minnetonka campus will include a Blessing of the Animals and a Litany for the Living.
This is inspired by the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, who is remembered as the patron saint of animals, ecology, and the environment. People are encouraged to use their own best judgement about whether to bring their pet (leashed or crated) into worship. We usually see several dogs and a brave cat or two!
If you prefer to include a photo of your pet in the slideshow, please send the photo with your name and your pet’s name to Pastor Meta no later than September 30.
