The Theology on Thursday group recently read “Holy Envy” by Barbara Brown Taylor, which recounts the author’s (an Episcopal priest by trade) experiences teaching a world religions course to undergraduate students in rural Georgia. They visited local monasteries and mosques, discovering an admiration, wonder and respect for other traditions and beliefs without being disloyal to their own. She borrowed the term “holy envy” to describe journey.

The group has decided to set up several field trips to other houses of worship around the Twin Cities over the course of the next year. You’re invited to join them!

Register for this event so you get information and reminders for each individual field trip. Choose your own adventure: attend when you are interested and available!

Our first planned trip will be to The Hindu Society of MN at 10530 Temple Drive in Maple Grove. Plan to meet there.

There is no cost involved, but please register online.
