After 13 years of the big production Garage Band Christmas shows, Spirit Garage is switching things up a bit, even down to the name. Christmas #IRL (in real life, for us older folks) reflects that change. It’ll still be a song-filled and festive event no doubt. And It’ll still showcase the depth of Spirit Garage’s musical and performance talents. But here’s where it gets interesting. It’ll also give our community a chance to shine.

This year we’re opening up the stage with our first ever, holiday open mic. The format will feel even more intimate than in the past, kind of like a family holiday gathering – IF your family is the kind that likes to sing, laugh, play music, do spoken word or comedy.

The open mic will go from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. CST. Because there are a limited number of performance spots, we ask that you sign up in advance if you want to take the stage. In order for the organizers to ensure a smooth-running show, you’ll need to fill out some basic info on this form about your act.
