Event Information:

Join us on Saturday, February 10 as we gather to make a difference in the world! Founded and hosted by the women of Bethlehem, Day of Service brings us together to engage in hands-on service projects that support the work of our global and local outreach partners. From rolling bandages to assembling Newborn and Hospice kits and more, our impact will be felt not as a grand gesture, but rather as an accumulation of little things that make a big difference. 

Check-in and coffee begin at 9:00. Program at 9:30. We hope you’ll join us and bring a friend!

This year we’ll begin the day by learning more about Starfish Ministry, a collaborative effort between Bethlehem and Judson Memorial Baptist that helps families in the community who are experiencing short-term financial crises. Then we’ll use our hands for service projects, followed by a tasty lunch.

Shopping List

If you’d like to contribute items for the kits, we are collecting the following:

  • Bath towel - regular size (48”- 52”)
  • Wash cloth
  • Heavy-duty kitchen gloves size medium
  • Bar Soap - Ivory (bath size, wrapped)
  • Toothbrush in original package
  • Nail Clipper - large size
  • Comb - pick style
  • Pure Petroleum Jelly (not creamy or scented) - 4oz or larger jar
  • Receiving blanket - size approximately 30” x 30”
  • Newborn stocking cap - 14” circumference
  • Newborn t- shirt
  • Cloth diapers- pre fold style

Community Garden Seedling Swap & Planting Day

Join us after worship for a seedling swap and community garden planting day! Some of the seedlings, particularly vegetables, herbs, and native pollinator plants, will also be donated to the Bethlehem community garden. Small extra pots and soil will be available for people attending.

SALT: Exploring the St. John’s Bible

Join SALT (Seniors Active in Life Together) for Exploring the St. Johns Bible with Director Tim Ternes on Wednesday, May 22, at 10:00 am. We'll discuss the enormous process it took to create this bible in the tradition of the great medieval Bibles. The presentation will be followed by a box lunch. Register today!
