Chronic Procrastination and Its Toll on Mental Wellbeing

Chronic Procrastination - MHC (1080x1080 px)

September 8 @ 7:00 pm 8:30 pm

A Mental Health Connect Collaborative Education Meeting

While chronic procrastination is not by definition a mental illness, it can result in high levels of stress, which in turn can exact a toll on one’s mental, as well as physical well-being – especially if it occurs over an extended period. It’s a pattern of behavior that can be changed and this program is designed to help chronic procrastinators do just that.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand when procrastinating behavior is helpful and when it’s harmful.
  • Explore the consequences of procrastination and how it can negatively impact one’s well-being.
  • Identify the reasons behind procrastinating behaviors so they can be more clearly understood and changed.
  • Recognize the correlation between procrastination and perfectionism.
  • Take home effective strategies to reduce procrastinating behaviors.
