This is a weekly discussion group for big questions about God, church, spirituality, and systems of belief. Each week invites conversation around a new theological question like:
What’s the relationship between grace and good deeds?
Does everything really happen for a reason or does some of it just…happen?
Does God require our belief in God to be God?
We’ll practice pulling scripture, other texts, lived experiences, and previous conversations together to contend with our own assumptions about faith and what else could be true.
This group was born out of the summer Coffee and Catechism series that made room for all kinds of deconstruction and reconstruction, personal storytelling and rabbit hole diatribes about how we got this far by faith. We’re holding it all lightly, agreeing to disagree, and doing our best to keep the main thing the main thing.
We’ll meet in the Library at the Minnetonka campus.
