Lent starts on Ash Wednesday, February 17. This is the time when we walk with Jesus as he makes his way to the cross. To enhance the Lenten journey, come and join the Lenten drive-thru event on Ash Wednesday at both the Minneapolis and Minnetonka campuses from either 12-1 pm or 4-6 pm. There, you will receive your Lenten kit with Lenten devotions, Lenten games to play with your family, grandkids, or friends, a daily Bible reading, ashes-to-go with a blessing, and Holy Communion sets to use at the Ash Wednesday, 6:30 pm service online.

No registration is needed. Just pack up your car with people, wear a mask, and come to church. Please enter the parking lot from Aldrich at the Minneapolis campus or Steele Street at the Minnetonka campus, and there will be people to direct you.

“Different Lens” Special Speaker Felecia Boone

About once a month Spirit Garage hosts a guest speaker in worship who is a faith leader that is also a person of color and/or queer, who speaks on a text that resonates with them in perhaps a different way than what has been traditionally taught down through the years. This month Felecia Boone will be our speaker. Felecia is a senior Diversity, Equity and Inclusion consultant with Hennepin County. She was educated through the Lutheran school system and volunteers as the Vice President of the Minneapolis Area Synod of the ELCA. She has worked in local government at the state and county levels for more than 25 years.
