A group of people from Bethlehem volunteer with CES Food Shelf each month. During the summer, the group will be doing home deliveries. The role volunteers play at CES is vital to their success. If you’d like to learn more about joining this group, email [email protected].
For the summer, we will be doing the home delivery to Horn Towers. The time frame and dates are different than our traditional times, as are the duties. This is an opportunity to see clients. The food bags are already prepped. We will help load the truck at CES, drive in our own vehicle (or in groups) to Horn Towers (3110 Blaisdell Ave) and deliver the food. We use shopping carts to deliver to the apartments, so it isn't strenuous, but it involves a bit of walking the halls of the building, and waiting for elevators. Volunteers start at CES and are dismissed from Horn. This is 11:30 am to 2pm. We will need 6-8 volunteers each day for this opportunity.
