Paddling on the St. Croix with Spirit Garage
About This Event
Let’s kayak the St. Croix River together! If you’ve never been, this is a great time to go. We will paddle to Osceola State Park and shuttle back to Taylors Falls. Bring your own late afternoon snack/supper and we’ll picnic at the park after our paddle. Then we’ll find some place for ice cream in Taylors Falls. Sounds like an amazing day, right?

Event Information:
It is important for you to be fit enough to get in and out of a kayak or canoe, but the actual kayaking is not difficult.
Meet at Spirit Garage (100 W. 46th St., Minneapolis) and then carpool to Taylors Falls, with the hopes of getting on the water around 2:00 pm.
Contact Peter Wemeier who will coordinate rides and help coordinate kayaks/canoes, and so on. There are boats available for rent: $37/single kayak, $52 double kayak or canoe. Additionally, everyone will need to pay $20 for the shuttle ride. We have access to some boats of our own, mostly through Peter.
If you want to go on this adventure but aren’t sure you can pay for it, talk to us and we’ll work this out with funds from the church and/or a seat in one of the extra boats available.
