Each year, the city of Minneapolis closes off Lyndale Ave. to car traffic. On June 2, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, our neighbors will come out to bike, stroll and scooter their way down the street enjoying life in the city.

We will need 100 volunteers/ambassadors to welcome them and share our energetic community spirit.  Bethlehem members will grill and sell hot dogs and brats; proceeds will benefit Beacon Interfaith Housing.  We will also have food trucks in our parking lot, including The Original Hockey Mom’s Brownies, Sweet Gypsy Waffles and Kona Hawaiian Ice.

As is tradition, the live Petting Zoo will bring their animals. A lineup of bands will be performing: 11:30 am Ms. Myra and the Moonshiners, 1:00 pm The Prizefighters (featuring Bethlehem member Courtney Klos!), 2:30 pm Spirit Garage’s band Revealed.  Come and help out before or after you stroll the avenue.
