For nearly two decades, people at Bethlehem’s Minneapolis campus gathered on Sunday mornings for Bible study with the Rev. Dr. Philip Quanbeck, or as he was affectionately known, Dr. Phil. Phil passed away in December 2020. Augsburg University will honor his life and legacy as part of an all school reunion this fall.

For nearly two decades, people at Bethlehem’s Minneapolis campus gathered on Sunday mornings for Bible study with the Rev. Dr. Philip Quanbeck, or as he was affectionately known, Dr. Phil. A retired college professor, Phil brought wisdom, depth and humor to the Sunday morning group, as well as his ministry as pastor of visitation.

Phil passed away in December 2020. Augsburg University will honor his life and legacy as part of an all school reunion this fall. There will be a reception with coffee and pastries on October 8, 8:00-9:30am, with a program at 8:30, at Augsburg’s Hoversten Chapel.
